But what does it have to do with Art?

Friends of the Orphan Signs from Michael Lopez on Vimeo.

I recently came across this video made by Michael Lopez, a collaborator with Friends of the Orphan Signs in Albuquerque.

The idea Lopez worked with was to ask people waiting for the bus where their final destination is, literally and metaphorically. He shot the footage at the sight where many of the Orphan sign interventions in Albuquerque were started. He took some of the responses and used them to create a temporary sign that was installed on the site. Throughout the video you can catch glimpses of my sign installation “Ghosts”. Its great to be able to see it in its location, you get a decent sense of scale and the surrounding area.
