This image was made with prayers of protection for all immigrants and seekers of asylum for a harmonious future of restoring right relationship in all things. In loving dedication to the story of Madre Maíz and the Black and Indigenous history of La Virgen Morena – in the image of Tonantzin in Nahuatl tradition as well as Yemaya in Yoruba tradition. Sacred is the corn and holy is the migration.
Este diseño fue realizado con oraciones de protección para cada inmigrante y solicitante de asilo, para un futuro armonioso en cada aspecto de la naturaleza. Dedicado con mucho cariño a la historia de La Madre Maíz y La Virgen Morena, hecha en la imagen de Tonantzin en la tradición Nahuatl tambien como la imagen de Yemaya en la tradición Yoruba. Sagrado es el maíz y sagrada es la migración.
