This poster was created during student and adjunct protests against budget cuts at the City University of New York. Unfortunately, the poster is still relevant, not only for CUNY, but for all of us facing cuts to spending on social services at all levels of government. We all have a sense of the process – money is channeled to the military-prison-police-industrial-financial complex, and then everything/everyone else suffers. Stopping budget cuts is certainly not going to make any revolutionary changes to the world we live in – but fighting for our rights to social goods and services that are being cut might help stoke a struggle that extends beyond the states we currently live in and the budgets that currently lord over us… It’s time to push back!
