Embrace Stillness

Embrace Stillness is a 4-color riso graphic developed to remind ourselves we have to slow down and not give in to capitalistic ideals that are consistently telling us we are not valued if we aren't busy working. This graphic was inspired by the Imagine Just Community Program, which was imagined by @enrichchicago and @laninadel18 to lead a diverse coalition of artists, cultural producers, and creatives. This is a container for living out our transformative, liberatory values and shifting power and agency to the people who’ve been historically excluded from making decisions about the solutions, interventions, and resources people and communities of color need within the arts and culture space. This work includes a Community-Advised Fund for BIPOC Arts Organizations, and a Just Praxis Circle for grantees.This graphic is inspired by the 2023 Just Praxis Circles led by the amazing @sojournerzenobia as part of Just Imagine Fellowship.
