This is a 9 color reduction linoleum block, woodblock, with spray paint stencil and hand painting. Our son has been playing basketball, and we've been watching games and documentaries to learn about the history of the game, and the teams we follow. We were very inspired watching Steph Curry's documentary, "Underrated," and how collaborative and creative he is in his approach to the game. This image is inspired by a photo of a few members of the Golden State Warriors, who helped Steph up after a fall. I think the image of teammates helping each other up is one of the most evocative gestures that demonstrates how teams work together. This image has a quote by basketball coach Phil Jackson. The quote is, "Good teams become great ones when the members trust each other enough to surrender the "me" for the "we."
