Maquila (Juarez)

In stock

This piece was originally developed for an exhibit at the National Museum of Mexican Art about the murders of the women of Juarez, Mexico. The digital piece incorporates patterns from various monoprints. The women figures in the piece are depicted as animals, illustrating the manner in which women, like animals, are treated like commodities and exploited in the name of trade and profits. The women figures are positioned on an assembly line.
