This print is me thinking about holding the two thoughts at once, the haste we need to change things, to put all of our energy into social movements that seek justice and a better life for all, and for making drastic changes to change our course towards complete environmental collapse. While also understanding the patience it takes to make change. "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice" to quote MLK. Looking at humanity's impact on the environment there is a great need for haste but without the patience to enact change with a long view we can easily do more harm than good. It's frustrating, and necessary to hold both.
Capitalist thinking pushes forward, onward with progress! while neglecting or ignoring the impact of the process involved in moving forward. The haste is needed but the patience is absolutely necessary.
