Public Everything

I had been thinking about this print for months prior to the recent push to try to privatize the public land that we in the western half of the US take so much for granted. Things got urgent, and I finished it up in the week when the forces of privatization and enclosure seemed poised to sell off so many of the landscapes I have come to love in the past several decades. The threat passed, for now, but it bears remembering that the process of enclosure of public lands was one of the ways capitalism invented itself- and it will probably be back to try again.

Everything is public, and belongs to everyone. Defend what we share.
