Based on a photo by Peter Harholdt, this print shows SNCC (the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee) marching for justice during the Selma to Montgomery march in March of 1965. In the front is James Baldwin, Joan Baez, and SNCC Executive Secretary James Forman The march was a pivotal event in the Civil Rights Movement to organize against Jim Crow laws and to secure voting rights for African Americans.
