Creating Justice at Oakton Community College

Justseeds member Aaron Hughes will be presenting with Yvette Pino about their artwork, the emerging Veteran Art Movement, and the upcoming National Veterans Art Museum Triennial and Veteran Art Summit at Creating Justice.

Creating Justice is an amazing gathering of artists, activists and students. This year features Aram Han Sifuentes, Aaron Hughes and Yvette Pino, Yousuf Saeed, Rachel Wallis and Melissa Blount, J’Sun Howard with Solomon Bowser and Dedrick Gray, and Chi-Nations Youth Council and Santiago X. There will be an opportunities to make art with members of the Chicago ACT Collective  and music by ÉSSO Afrojam Funkbeat. Please join Creating Justice for a day of presentations, workshops, and performances that celebrate the contribution of art to social justice movements. Refreshments and dinner are provided! Creating Justice takes place at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Rd, Des Plaines, IL, 60016 in the TenHoeve Center. Parking in Lot C is most convenient. Doors will open at 12:30pm: the event itself will be from 1-8pm. Our campus is wheelchair accessible.
