Free Palestine | Demilitarize | Ceasefire

WHERE

Little Red Nest Chicago
Southwest corner of N. Ashland Ave and W. Catalpa Ave.
Chicago, IL 60640

On this Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day the Little Red Nest Chicago is humbled to open the new window exhibition Free Palestine | Demilitarize | Ceasefire. Considering Dr. King’s critique of the triplets of evil—poverty, racism, and militarism—it is a fitting day to open an exhibition featuring artwork calling for an immediate ceasefire, demilitarization, and a free Palestine.

Inspired by the Palestinian Feminist Futures Project, this exhibit encourages viewers to take action while envisioning Palestinian liberation through a feminist and anti-colonial lens. The Palestinian Feminist Futures Project is organized by the Palestinian Feminist Collective and includes work by Heba Zagout, an artist and school teacher in the Gaza Strip, who was killed in October 2023 by an Israeli bombing.

This exhibition is dedicated to Heba Zagout, her family, and the people of Palestine.
