Classrooms Not Cages

This is a graphic I made for Voces De La Frontera’s 2019 May Day march on the capitol in Madison WI.  Voces chose the phrase I hand drew the fonts.  The faces are a composite of images taken by photographer Joe Brusky.

 

Four young people hold a large banner while raising fists in the air. The banner states: “CLASSROOMS NOT CAGES,” with books serving as the background for each letter in the word “classrooms”, and the word “cages” is rendered with prison bars.
