Found this behind my farm stand at Union Square a couple of weeks ago.
The poster lists a website at NewMTA.info. I’ve seen many spoofs of NYC MTA service posters, this one comes at a time when cities are cutting budgets for many social programs and services. NYC is planning on cutting back on many public transportation programs despite its citizens growing need for more economical alternatives.
Hopefully the efforts of engaged designers, such as the creator of the flyer, and everyone interested in public transit can triumph over the austerity measures of State and City government. All it takes is a movement(?)

Here’s another campaign, just released, utilizing the aesthetics of MTA posters. This one is about subway rider etiquette.

MTA bus number 445, b43 license AU 2572 put my life in Danger pulling out the Kingston ave bus stop
either Dean Street or Bergen Street whichever bus stop was after St Marks Street; and pushed their way between my car and another car. To prevent an accident I pull back and let the bus in. the bus took off down Kingston Avenue I followed it to get the pictures of the bus at Atlantic and Kinston bust stop. Then the bus pulled out and drove pass a school buss parked on Kingston and Herkimer with both stop signs extended. the MTA bus did not stop to ensure childrens safety it kept driving past the school bus and to fulton street bus stop. putting children lives in danger is not cool. I’m trying to upload the pictures for some reason it’s not showing me were to do it but if you can contact me I can send the pictures to you the case number is 03311752 the school bus was allies transit Corp and the school bus number was 71205.
