This is the original multi block printed relief version of Everglades Forever. An image made for the portfolio project We Are the Storm, and in conversation with the Seminole tribes of Florida and Earth First!, who have been working to stop the devastation of the Everglades due to private companies destructive resource extraction practices.

With a sense of dark humor, the snake represents both the energetic power of a united people, but specifically it is the boa constrictor: pets let loose in the wild that have multiplied and have grown gigantic. In my visual dream they have grown large enough to eat the destructive machines and leave the ecology to find it's own balance again.
