This piece uses the image of the match and fire to hold multiple dreams, the bad dreams of wildfires burning our lives down here where I live on the west coast of the US, and the hopeful dreams of everyone burning down this white supremacist authoritarian oligarchy we live in. Fire simultaneously embodying destruction and creation.
