This print celebrates LaDonna Brave Bull Allard (Standing Rock Sioux)
Allard (1956-2021) sparked the NO DAPL movement by calling on Native people to come to Standing Rock to oppose the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. She was a tribal historic preservation officer for the Standing Rock Sioux and the founder of the Sacred Stone Camp at Standing Rock. Her quote referenced the need to kill the black snake (the pipeline).
