This is a four-color linocut print, made from two blocks on a hand-crank Vandercook 3 letterpress. The colors are a 3-layer reduction linocut, and the snake is its own block. I carved all of the layers by hand.
I made this print thinking about hunger, and how ancient it is to hunger. For food, for love, for a future, for justice, for a purpose: hunger is an engine that drives the world, and drives the evolution of new worlds within it.
