This issue of my Pound the Pavement zine is less didactic than usual, and instead an ode to the history of the typography of the New York City public transit system. The NYC Transit Museum is usually thought of as a place for kids or train enthusiasts, but for me the highlight is an amazing collection of over 100 years of signage from the various subway, train, and bus systems. This zine is entirely assembled out of photographs of this signage.
