I’m excited to share that I recently had an article I wrote translated into Italian, and published in a great journal called Zapruder: Storie In Movimento
. Zapruder is a non-academic history publication, as far as I understand developing loosely out of the Italian Autonomia
tradition, which attempts to mine history for ideas that are useful to contemporary social struggles. This issue is dedicated to political propaganda, and is themed “Wall Against the Wall: Design and Communication in Political Posters.” My article is called “Street Art and Social Movements,” and is an edited version of a talk I’ve been developing for the past couple years under the title “Street Art and Counter Power.” I’ll be cleaning up the English version of this text and posting it here soon….
