Alto Georgia

From March, 2011 Update from Georgia: Arizona copycat bill, HB87 passes out of the House 113-56. The Speaker announces the vote and says: “There will be no outburst.” Let there be an outburst.

Call Governor Deal 404-656-1776 and ask he commit to veto all anti-immigrant legislation.
(we removed the email for the Gov because it no longer works)

Four people stand in a line holding large placards, spelling out the word, “VETO SB HB 87.” Behind them is a mid-century style postcard image of Georgia, with a peach, stating: Welcome, we’re glad Georgia’s on your mind. This postage-stamp-shaped image is superimposed against a brown background, where additional text states: “Being brown is not a crime! Take a stand against racial profiling and xenophobia. Demand Governor Nathan Deal veto HB 87 and all anti-immigrant legislation”.
