During the height of the Vietnam War the Art Worker’s Coalition made 50,000 copies of a poster showcasing the atrocities photographed of the My Lai Massacre, a year after it happened, where 500 people were killed by U.S. soldiers. New anchor Mike Wallace interviewed a US soldier who was complicit in killing children. His response to [did he kill…] “And babies?” His answer, “And babies.” This poster challenged the U.S. propaganda of what was really happening on the ground. This graphic is inspired by that original poster.
As the live-streamed genocide continues in Gaza there are many images and videos that are burned into our memory. Recently the image of beheaded baby Amal Alyan is one of them after an Israeli airstrike. May we never forget as we must keep fighting for a free Palestine on every front, by any means, to end to the Israeli occupation funded by the U.S. government. Rest in power baby Amal and so, so, so many more.
