The Covid-19 public health crisis has made it clear as day that the US needs single-payer Medicare for All! This was needed decades ago. In 2020 one-out-of-ten Americans are without health insurance and that was BEFORE millions lost their jobs AND their health insurance through their employers in March 2020. Medicare for All should be provided for all people in the US regardless of their immigration status. Health care is a right. The US spends more on its military budget than any country in the world: 748 billion in 2020. This is emblematic of a broken system. Fund health care, not warfare.
