This is our eighteenth pack of free fonts designed by the artists and cooperative members of Justseeds. Font pack 18 includes three historical sans serif fonts, Labour, Umbral, and Rosa Blanca, all adapted by Alec Dunn.
Alec: “These font adaptations are part of an ongoing pursuit of bold but soft sans serifs. Umbral came from an anarchist Spanish Civil War publication of the same title (subtitled: the magazine of the people) and this particular adaptation came from the text on a promotional poster. Labour is a modernist font with some deco flourishes derived from a British Labour Party poster from 1935, seen on display at the People’s History Museum in Manchester, England. And Rosa Blanca is a lovely title font that spices up its futurism with some implied blackletter/goth accents–from the cover art of a B. Traven novel from Josh MacPhee’s collections. On display at the P.I.T., NYC.”

All Justseeds Open Type Fonts are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-SA). This Creative Commons license means that these fonts can be used, shared, and adapted; attributed when appropriate; and any adaptations must fall under the same license. This license enables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format. If you remix, adapt, or build upon the material, you must license the modified material under identical terms.
These fonts can be used for activist projects of all sorts. These fonts can also be used for liberatory social and cultural productions. These fonts are not for sale and must be shared freely.
