Macho B!

Migration Now! was a 2012 print portfolio co-produced by Justseeds and CultureStrike (CultureStrike is now the Center for Cultural Power) which explored the social, cultural, and emotional facets of immigration.

Macho B, one of the last free-roaming jaguars in the United States, was killed in a bungled capture attempt in March, 2009, the result of arrogance and general neglect in conservation efforts. This image is intended to point to the links between the struggles of all life – human and otherwise – against the heavily fortified U.S./Mexico border wall. Janay Brun was the whistle-blower in the Macho B case. She currently lives in Pennsylvania.

This page is currently a placeholder while we to track down the original high-res files of the images from this portfolio (06/2020)
