A complex linocut which features a young Zapatista woman in the center. She has a bandana over her face, wears braids, and holds an ear of corn in her right hand, and a bicycle chainset in her left. She is surrounded by corn stalks. Framing this central image is a series of six square scenes featuring hands picking corn, holding seeds, and also repairing a bike, and feet pedaling bike pedals for running a machine, which processes the corn kernels. Around the frame are the repeating words in Spanish: “Nuestras raices, nuestras herramientas”, (Our roots, our tools).
