This image is from Celebrate People’s History/Iraq Veterans Against the War: Ten Years of Fighting for Peace and Justice, a portfolio that celebrated IVAW’s first ten years and was produced by Justseeds, IVAW, Booklyn, Repetitive Press, and the Civilian Soldier Alliance.

Marshall Weber is the Directing Curator at Booklyn Artists Alliance, artist, activist, and curator living and working in Brooklyn, NY. His artwork explores concepts of audience, the expansion of public space, language, and travel. He has collaborated with IVAW on a series of projects including the War is Trauma portfolio. He is a co-organizer of Celebrate People’s History: Iraq Veterans Against the War.

A newsletter style image, with the header, “Peace Hero Times,” and the subtitle, “Honoring Iraq Veterans Against the War’s Courage and Connection.” Two black and white photographs of military personnel are featured. Below each photo it states, “IVAW Member and Winter Soldier Army Specialist Ethan McCord,” and “Political Prisoner and Whistleblower Private First Class Chelsea Manning.” More small text outlines a timeline of events about the above-mentioned army members.
