Justseeds 2010 Portfolio in progress Resourced

March 30, 2010

NYC Justseeds members have been hard at work organizing our second portfolio, Resourced. This will be our second theme based portfolio of handmade prints, following Voice From Outside: Artists against the Prison Industrial Complex. It will contain designs from artists from around the world, such as: Tom Civil (Australia), Kei Narita (Japan), Armsrock (Denmark), Gaia (USA), Design Action Collective (Oakland, CA), Juan Martinez (Beehive Collective), Amor y Resistencia (Brooklyn, NY) and many Justseeds members.
Poster designs will address three crucial issues: resource extraction, climate change, and environmental justice. Some artists have collaborated with organizations currently engaged in campaigns opposing gold mining, tar sands, among other ecologically destructive industries.
There will be an edition of 125 portfolios created, eventually for sale through the Justseeds store.
We are in need of funding to actualize this project, and are soliciting donations as well as “pre-selling” copies of the portfolios. See letter below for instructions. Please consider helping us actualize this timely project!
