I created this piece during my stay the the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology on the beautiful coast of Oregon, located right at Cascade Head. I was teaching a relief printmaking workshop there and we were creating an exchange portfolio based on environmental themes. The location itself inspired the imagery, with detail like the skull referencing our place in the natural world.
