Inspired by trying to get my priorities straight. In a world where everything is increasingly fake, the land itself has to be our foundation- the land and the living worlds it supports. Human society is only one of millions of ways of being on this planet- the only place in the universe where anything at all is alive. We have to turn away from the machine and defend the real world before we lose ourselves forever.
This is a three-color screenprint from 2 hand-cut rubylith layers and a map layer, made from an old transparency I salvaged from the dumpster at the public library when they went digital.
