This zine was produced to accompany a limited edition artists' book featuring the large linoleum blockprint map that I made which traces the use of Congolese uranium in the Manhattan Project (learn more here, here, here). The zine contains two essays; one which I wrote for an exhibit at Souvenir Gallery in Portland, OR (where the map was shown along with other related work, in October of 2023), and the second is a piece that originally appeared in the New Republic, after I brought the map and the block it was printed from to Lubumbashi, DR Congo, in May of 2023 for three weeks of presentations and workshops about the history of the mine, its workers, and its aftermath in the history of empire.
