As part of my Graphic Liberation! exhibitions and projects, I've been doing a number of workshops encouraging students and gallery visitors to use pieces and parts of historical political posters to generate new imagery that addresses issues that are important to them today. These new posters are collaged together and then mass reproduced on a risograph. I've been using the same process to generate new posters as well, often as examples for the these workshops.
This is one of those posters, where I have taken the 3 militant women from a See Red Women's Workshop poster from the 1970s, made a dozen copies of them, and built a new poster with an army of these figures filling the entire field of the page.
