Salt Holt

A holt is a copse of trees, refuge in a storm. In shallow reefs you often see schools of small fish hovering within coral heads, using them as weather breaks and refuges from predators. Here’s an imagining of a near-future new reef, with larger fish taking solace in a new source of shelter, with the drowned world beyond.

This print was cut and printed during my residency at Ucross in Wyoming- three hand-printed linoleum blocks.
