Many of us have the illusion that we can control everything in our life. But we can't. In fact, I believe it's important to let go of the belief that we can. When I was working on this piece, I was encouraging myself to be experimental and to take risks, even when I did not know the outcome of the piece. The image is my reflection on life at that moment, and is a statement on being present, being free, and giving up control. The background of the piece is a monotype.
