In 2016 I was asked by Sam Gould of the Beyond Repair project in Minneapolis to design a print to inaugurate the space's art-for-rent scheme, where they would sell a limited edition work of art each month to pay their modest rent. I designed a rent check, but water marked it with the phrase "Theft Is Rent," inverting the popular protest slogan from one of oppression to empowerment.
I ended up with a big stack of these, and need to clean the flat files, so I've made a short edition and thrown them up here cheap for anyone interested. Enjoy!
