A War Resisters League poster illustrated/designed by Peg Averill. This one is most likely from the late 70s, and was printed at “The Print Shop” in Smithtown, NY and sports the IWW I.U. 450 union bug. The poster was produced for WIN, the WRL’s newspaper/publication.

For those not familiar with her work, Averill (1949-1993) created hundreds of political graphics in the 1970s and 80s, which were used by a large number of organizations working on a variety of political issues (anti-war, anti-nuclear, prisoner rights, anti-death penalty, etc.). Her illustrations were often used in the War Resisters League publication WIN.

ATTENTION: These posters are over 30-years-old. Although they are in overall great condition, they may have some worn or faded edges and small corner bends.

“We stand in solidarity with our Palestinian siblings in Gaza and those among our community who are directly and indirectly affected by the current war and genocide by the Israeli settler-colonial regime. Passive observation of the horrors of bombings, genocide, and prolonged apartheid is not our way. We must rise and firmly proclaim that Palestinian Liberation is a Feminist Imperative.” – Feminists for Jina Seattle
