We Are The Street Kids of Kabul. We Are Survivors.

Price
$45

In December of 2015, I went to Kabul to work with the Afghan Peace Volunteers at their Borderfree Nonviolence Community Center. One major program the Afghan Peace Volunteers run out of the center is a school for the self proclaimed street kids of Kabul. Meeting these youth was an inspirational experience. They are full of life, with dreams of becoming teachers, lawyers, and doctors. They are survivors overcoming all odds.

The print is based on a photograph of one of the students, a Kabul street kid, doing his homework in the streets by Afghan Peace Volunteer Abdulhai (Abduhi) Darya.
