We Can’t Drink Their Money*


A re-imagining of a popular slogan! I designed the first, one color iteration of this poster in 2012, for the now-disbanded Shadbush Environmental Justice Collective’s Shalefield Reporter newspaper. The graphic appeared as the full spread back page of the paper, appropriate for wheatpasting or hanging in the front window of the home, office, or school. We printed hundreds of stickers as well.

This updated version was made with the Risograph machine in mind, with added color and texture absent from the original. The edition was printed by Justseeds cohort Mary Tremonte at OCAD in Toronto. Color registration varies per print, part of the Risograph process! The third color is a quiet yellow layer which accents the green, Mary’s pro addition…
