This small print is part of a series depicting the weedy species that, because of their association with humans, and their abililty to adapt to straitened and changed circumstances, are thriving in the midst of the holocaust overtaking the less adaptable species of the world. We tend to eulogize these species; they're tough, they're adaptable, they're a lot like us. This is true, but the rise of weedy species is a harbinger of a planet bereft of biodiversity. Their rise is the doom of the delicate world.
