This is an updated and expanded version of the font Anarchist Encyclopedia (part of the Justseeds Open Type Project’s font pack 2). Anarchist Encyclopedia was an art-deco inspired font made by Josh MacPhee for a book of the same name originally written by Sébastien Faure in 1934, and republished with Josh’s type-heavy cover illustration by AK Press in 2019. In the process of cleaning up and updating old versions of our oldest fonts, I expanded Josh’s Anarchist Encyclopedia to include 3 new weights as well as a shaded version that is derived from the original color font. These versions include updated language support as well.
All Justseeds Open Type Fonts are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-SA). This Creative Commons license means that these fonts can be used, shared, and adapted; attributed when appropriate; and any adaptations must fall under the same license. This license enables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format. If you remix, adapt, or build upon the material, you must license the modified material under identical terms.
These fonts can be used for activist projects of all sorts. These fonts can also be used for liberatory social and cultural productions. These fonts are not for sale and must be shared freely.
