Outpost Remote Residency

June 22, 2020

OUTPOST invites applications for a week long remote residency programme during Summer 2020.

The opportunity is only open for Art and Design students of colour based in the UK in their final year of University who may have experienced a postponement or cancellation of their degree show due to COVID-19.

The Remote Residency will be an opportunity for recent graduates to continue their practice in their own home during the current period of uncertainty. The work created, and any further content, will then be shared and promoted on OUTPOST’s digital channels throughout August 2020.

Applications will be reviewed by the OUTPOST Steering Committee and 8 practitioners will be selected and awarded a fee of £240 and a £60 material budget to finalise their creation for the week. Selected applicants will be expected to produce a fina piece of work, residency documentation, and provide content, including artist bio and additional information, that OUTPOST will then promote and share on digital channels to showcase the best upcoming practitioners in the UK today.

Residency dates: 20th – 26th July 2020

Deadline for applications: 12 July 2020, 11:59pm GMT
