Painting 300 ft. banner for D12 demos in Paris

December 8, 2015

Yesterday a crew of artists from all over the world painted a 300 ft. (100 meter) banner for D12 – the demo at the end of the COP 21 Climate Conference in Paris. David Solnit predicted it would take 4-6 hours. It took 8. Not bad especially when you have Solnit’s expertise on hand. Text reads “It’s Up to Us to Leave it in the Ground” referencing the need for 100% renewable energy and the end of burning fossil fuels.
