This is definitely one of the most beautiful Celebrate People’s History posters yet! An amazing block print celebrating the Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional (EZLN), or the Zapatista Army of National Liberation. The Zapatistas emerged on January 1st, 1994 out of the jungles of Chiapas, Mexico to protest the North American Free Trade Agreement and the continued encroachment of the Mexican government and big business into the lands of the indigenous peoples of Mexico.

Printed at the worker-owned Stumptown Printers, Portland, OR.

This is #47 in the Celebrate People’s History Poster Series.
