La Autonomía es la Vida, la Sumisión es la Muerte

It is the daily work that gets us through. Weaving by hand is a tedious and meticulous process. But it’s power also lies in the time it takes – generations share the work and learn from each other, friends create together. Communities that forge bonds over time through shared work are tenacious and resilient. Flimsy strands of thread, brought together, make a sturdy and beautiful cloth.

This image was created as part of a series of prints celebrating Autonomy in numerous communities and spaces around Mexico and the Globe, emphasizing the Autonomous Zapatista Communities, as well as taking a strong stand against the extermination campaigns launched by the government and their repressive entities on the Autonomous communities.
