This print edition began as multiple hand cut pieces of paper, and is presented as a silkscreen print true to size. The top half of the work contains a protective semi circle / wreath of flowers while the bottom half contains wild grasses and hummingbirds nesting. While I was working on this print I was thinking of the flower crowns that my family in Latvia wears during summer solstice, around which there are many different stories and traditions, always involving a deep connectivity to nature and themes of protection.
